The advent of LLM-assisted coding has allowed many clinicians to express their creativity. Though clinicians have the advantage of deep technical knowledge, it was historically difficult to translate that knowledge into something tangible. LLM-assisted coding has begun to overcome this limitation. As a result, clinicians are creating unique workflows and even developing their own businesses. It is an exciting time to work at the intersection of dentistry and technology.

Yet excitement alone is not enough to build something meaningful. While we are living in what many call the golden age of AI, the technology remains, in many ways, a mystery: we are still understanding how it operates and how it can be responsibly applied. There is an equal measure of widespread optimism, as well as scepticism and cynicism. At Anthrodontics, we believe that good AI gives users sufficient autonomy and control, so that outputs can be trusted, inspected, and corrected when they fall short.

These convictions are at the foundation of how we build. They have shaped the three tenets that guide everything we do:

1. Amplify the voices of dentists in the future of AI-driven dentistry. Clinicians synthesise evidence and patient information to deliver the most effective treatment. It is only right that they advocate for our patients in shaping the future of healthcare AI.
2. Build scalable systems for the future of digital dentistry. We’re not impressed by small increments and variations of the current technological stack. We are in the business of revolutionising existing software paradigms.
3. Create software that is delightful. So many hours wasted due to software training. So many sighs exhaled because the thing doesn’t work. These small frictions accumulate and snowball into a resistance for all technologies. Let’s make dental technology fun again, together.

These three objectives are pivotal in ensuring that Anthrodontics is a sustainable company and an impactful contributor to the dental industry. They also guide how we thoughtfully and intentionally design our product.
